HOMECRAFT RULES & REGULATIONS

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Please read ALL Rules and Regulations carefully, including general rules and regulations found here. Please fill out entry forms and tags correctly.
  2. Each exhibitor is allowed no more than one entry in each SECTION of any CLASS and will not be allowed to show the same exhibit in more than one section.
  3. All exhibits must be in the hall no later than Friday September 7th at 11:30 a.m. Entries may be brought to the hall Thursday, September 6th between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The hall opens at 8 a.m. Friday September 7th to receive exhibits.
  4. One membership costs $3.00. Each membership entitles that person to exhibit. To exhibit you must have an exhibitor number/card which you receive when you pay your membership and register.
  5. Persons under 19 years of age are not required to pay a membership unless exhibiting in classes that are not age specific, i.e. Junior and Teen Fair. Although you are not required to pay a membership you are required to have an exhibitor number/card which you will receive when you register.
  6. All entries must be listed on an entry form. The entry form is provided in the Prize List book or from the secretary. An entry tag must be secured to each entry. Entry tags are available from the secretary when you register. It is possible to register with the secretary and receive entry forms and tags prior to the fair date. When the exhibitor has completed the entry form TWO COPIES GO TO THE SECRETARY and the exhibitor retains one copy.
  7. Judging will commence at 1 p.m. on Friday September 7th. NO ONE is allowed in the exhibit area from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. except Fair Officials and Judges.
  8. Points in each class will be awarded on the following basis: 1st prize, 4 points; 2nd prize, 3 points; 3rd prize, 2 points; 4th prize, 1 point. NO POINTS will be awarded for Special Sections.
  9. While the Directors will take every possible precaution under the circumstances to secure the safety of the article sent to the exhibition, the owners themselves must accept the risk of exhibiting.
  10. No exhibits shall be removed before 5 p.m. on Saturday September 9th. Exhibitors must have their exhibitor's card to collect their articles.
  11. FIRST YEAR EXHIBITORS - Please indicate at bottom of all entry tags that you are a first year Exhibitor.
  12. After a section has been judged, the judge may write (or instruct to be written) comments on an entry tag. These comments are intended to assist the exhibitor with future exhibiting and in no way are the comments intended to criticize or belittle an exhibit.
  13. The Committee reserves the right to withhold awarding a prize for most points if the exhibitor does not have a minimum of two (2) prize winning entries in the group of sections for the said prize.
