FALL FAIR AMBASSADOR COMPETITION COMMITTEE: Anne McNalty - 519-923-6435, Ruth Scott - 519-334-3266 Competitors must be between the ages of 17 and 23 years as of August 1, 2012 Each competitor will be interviewed by a panel of judges between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the evening of the competition. Each competitor must prepare a short speech (3 to 5 minutes) on a topic of his or her choice, to be given during the opening ceremonies Each competitor is required to demonstrate his or her understanding of the rules of the Ambassador Competition.  In the event that the winner cannot represent Dundalk Fair at all of the events, the first runner-up will be asked to attend and the scholarship will be distributed between the two candidates as decided by the Dundalk Agricultural Society Ambassador Committee. The crowning of the Fair Ambassador will be held on Friday September 8, 2012 at the Variety Program held in the Dundalk Community Centre. The winner will represent the Dundalk District Agricultural Society through the year at various events. The Ambassador will attend the Ontario Association of Agricultural Society’s Annual Meeting in February 2012 and the C.N.E. Ambassador Competition in August 2012. The Ambassador will have the opportunity of meeting representatives from across Ontario. PRIZES: 1st - $300.00, plus other monies through the year. 2nd - $150.00; 3rd - $75.00; 4th - $25.00 Winner Receives $1300.00 upon completion of term JUNIOR AMBASSADOR COMPETITION COMMITTEE: Anne McNalty - 519-923-6435, Ruth Scott 519-923-3266 Competition is open to competitors (Girls or Boys) who are the age of 11 to 15 years old as of August 1, 2012 Contestants will be interviewed by a panel of judges between 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on the evening of the competition Each competitor must prepare a short speech (2 to 4 minutes) on a topic of their own choice, presented during the opening ceremonies The crowning of the Junior Fair Ambassador will be  held on Friday September 10, 2012 at the Variety Program held in the Dundalk Community Centre. PRIZES: Winner receives $25. All contestants will receive a participation medal..
