NOTES
a) Exhibitor may enter only one article in each
section.
b) All articles must be the work of the exhibitor and
entered under own name. The work must have been completed since
September 2009. Work can be exhibited for two (2) years and must be
clean.
c) Judges reserve the right to withhold award of
prize if, in their opinion, no entry in the class merits an award.
d) Name of quilt pattern, on 3" x 5" card, fastened
to quilt, for purposes of information, would be appreciated.
e) First Year Exhibitor: please mark “First
Year Exhibitor” on each entry tag.
ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF
AGRICULTURAL SOCIETIES ANNUAL HAND QUILTED CHAMPIONSHIP QUILT
COMPETITION
1. Entries must be solely made and hand quilted by an individual.
2. Quilts must be a minimum of 324” measured on the perimeter
(smaller quilts will not be eligible to proceed to the next level of
competition).
3. The quilt judged “BEST OF SHOW” of qualifying Sections
will receive a rosette and represent the Dundalk Agricultural Society
at the District 10 Fall Meeting. If the quilt judged “Best of
Show” has won this award at another fair this year, the quilt
judged “Reserve Best of Show” will represent Dundalk
District Agricultural Society at District 10 in 2012. An exhibitor who
wins more than one Best of Show title with a different quilt at
different Fairs shall be entitled to enter each winning quilt to
compete at the District Competition.
4. A Grand Champion or Best of Show will be judged of all classes as
well as a Reserve Grand Champion or Second Best of Show of all classes.
5. Upon making an entry into the Ontario Association of Agricultural
Societies Hand Quilt Competition, the exhibitor agrees to participate
in any promotional activities related to the competition.
6. The first place quilt at the District 10 meeting will enter the
Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies Championship Hand Quilt
competition in Toronto in February 2012.
7. The Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies will award prize
money at the District Competition: 1st prize: $25.00; 2nd - $15.00; 3rd
- $10.00
8. The entry judged “Best of Show” at the February
Convention will be declared the Ontario Association of Agricultural
Societies Championship Hand Quilt. A $500 grand prize will be awarded
and the exhibitor will retain ownership of the quilt. A certificate and
ribbon will also be awarded to the winner. NOTE: When entering your
quilt, please attach statement indicating Best of Show at another fair
in 2012.
HAND QUILTING
All items to be hand quilted with the exception of 9, 10, and 13. All
quilts must be at least 72" x 90" unless otherwise stated. Sample of
three (3) materials must be attached to all articles, in Sections
1 to 44 unless otherwise stated.

ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF
AGRICULTURAL SOCIETIES ANNUAL MACHINE QUILT/WALL HANGING COMPETITION
1. Entries must be solely made and machine quilted by an individual.
2. Quilt/wall hanging to be measured on the perimeter measurement to be
a minimum of 192 inches or 480 cm. Note the article can be square,
rectangular, etc.
3. Quilt/Wall hanging must have visible machine quilting.
4. The quilt judged “BEST OF SHOW” of qualifying Sections
will receive a rosette and represent the Dundalk Agricultural Society
at the District 10 Fall Meeting. If the quilt judged “Best of
Show” has won this award at another fair this year, the quilt
judged “Reserve Best of Show” will represent Dundalk
District Agricultural Society at District 10 in 2012. An exhibitor who
wins more than one Best of Show title with a different quilt at
different Fairs shall be entitled to enter each winning quilt to
compete at the District Competition.
