The 157th Dundalk Fall Fair -- September 7th, 8th, & 9th, 2012

 


FAMILY EXHIBITS AWARD
Families wishing to compete for this trophy must submit an entry form to the Secretary of the Fair by 11:30 a.m. Friday September 7, 2012.

The purpose of this trophy is to encourage families to work
together for a common goal at Agricultural Fairs and to
provide recognition of their achievements.
The trophy shall be presented to the family group winning
the highest number of points at each Annual Fair. The
winning family shall keep the trophy until the next Annual
Fair, when it must be returned to the Fair Officials and again
put up for competition.
A family group shall be two or more members of one family
(named on entry form) living in the same household and
being father and/or mother and/or grandparents and
children living at home.
For every class included in the official prize list, 4 points shall be allowed for first prize. When a second, third and fourth prize are offered, 3 points shall be allowed for second, 2 points for third prize and 1 point for fourth prize.
The Saddle Horse is not included.
The Secretary of the Fair or a person designated by the
Secretary shall be responsible for recording the winnings
and declaring a winner. The trophies shall be publicly
presented at the Annual Banquet.
In the event of a tie in points, the winner shall be the family
winning the greatest number of first prizes, and in the event of a dispute, the decision of the Directors of the Fair shall be final.
Having won the trophy for two consecutive years, the family
is not entitled to compete again for the next two years at
which time they may compete again.
The annual trophy shall remain the property of the Fair
Board and the winning family each year shall receive a token trophy to keep permanently.
The classes eligible for this trophy are 1-21 inclusive,
including Specials, Pet Show, 4-H and Junior Calf Club

COMMUNITY SERVICE
The Dundalk Agricultural Society would be pleased to
offer assistance to students in need of fulfilling the
requirements for the Secondary Student Community
Involvement Program.
High school students are welcome to come and earn their
volunteer hours at events with us throughout the year.
